The First Snowfall is Here
Categories: Latest News
The first snowfall of the fall season is here…well mainly in the North of The Netherlands, in areas like Drenthe and Gronignen.
The temperature there is around 2 degrees Celsius. The snow is (or was shall we say!) visible on grass, roofs, and cars in Drenthe and the south of Groningen, but it won’t stay for long…we all know how it goes.
According to Weeronline, the first snowfall usually arrives around the 7th of December. Last year, parts of the east of the Netherlands encountered snow as early as November 27th. Love it!
More snow is expected in the coming days, and the cold air is expected to move over the rest of the country. This may lead to snow in various locations across The Netherlands.
Are you excited about the snow? Fingers crossed for a white Christmas (for those staying in town!). Looking for more updates about life in The Netherlands? Then signup to our free newsletter.
