Open Day at Taalhuis Amsterdam

Are you interested in learning a new language? Would you like the opportunity to meet our teachers, learn more about our school and language courses, and experience a trial lesson before making a decision? We invite you to join us for our open day and back-to-school borrel on Sunday, September 1 at our Vondelpark location at Tweede Schinkelstraat 26.

During the open day, you’ll have the chance to join trial lessons for various Taalhuis languages and attend intake sessions to determine your language proficiency level before signing up for a course. It’s a perfect opportunity to explore your language learning options. While trial lessons take place in the classrooms, we will have a school market and a borrel in our main hall where you can enjoy your drinks and bites, take a look at our school market, and chit-chat with other students or teachers!

Trial lessons and intake sessions are completely free, and you can join as many sessions as you want as long as you reserve your spot in advance.

Program Details

We have trial courses for children and adults throughout the day in many languages we teach: Dutch, Arabic, English, Farsi, French, Greek, Hebrew, Spanish, and Turkish. You can find the schedule and the registration form on this page.

How can I register for a trial lesson or a level assessment?

Please fill in the registration form with the required information. You will receive the confirmation for each session you signed up for via email the week before the open day.

I can’t make it to the open day, when is the next one?

If you cannot make it to our on-location open day, you are very welcome to join us for an online open evening on 4 September Wednesday for a virtual learning experience.

Can I schedule an intake for another time?

Yes! If you want to take an intake but cannot join the open day, please send an email to [email protected] and we will contact you to make an appointment. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes and take place on location or online (arranged via Zoom).
